If you are a small FCA authorised and regulated financial services firm and you are running your business as well as the compliance function, you are no doubt regularly bogged down with work which you would consider an administrative burden.
We work with firms like yours.
Rather than employ a member of staff, firms find it more cost effective to have us on board to fulfill many of their day-to-day duties. Our role is defined by the firm, depending on how much or how little support is needed. This may include:
> GABRIEL reporting
> Connect applications and notifications
> Liaise with their compliance advisers on technical and regulatory matters
> Issue reminders and ensure registers and records are kept and maintained
Where required, we also conduct verification on financial promotions which are then approved by the firm for the purposes of section 21 of the Financial Services & Markets Act 2000.
We work on an ad hoc basis due to the nature of the work involved. Usually we are only needed for the equivalent of 1 to 3 days per month however, our time is spread across the month, when the work actually needs to be done, rather than set hours/days.
If you think that you will find it beneficial to have us on board, please do get in touch and we would be delighted to discuss your requirements with you.
As an alternative to the above, and where you require a more in-depth compliance advisory support function, we also work as a consultant via a global law firm. We work with a regulatory director, who is the client's relationship manager and who provides technical advice. Together, our support covers general on-going administrative duties in addition to training, monitoring and advice - everything you would expect from a regulatory compliance consultant.
